In 1997 the Wensim Stud started with the purchase of 4 cows from Callie & Erica Lee (Simlee Stud, Thabazimbi).

Over time the stud grew and more animals bought from Simlee as well as other well-known studs such as Slarika, Leeupoort, Anmalu, Preston, Odensim, Bezley, Enrico and Von Adel.

With AI and performance management, the stud grew and we've achieved great results on various shows.

In 2007 the stud was moved from Ellisras to Middelburg and adapted surprisingly well from the sweet, dry and warm Bosveld to the cold and more sour highveld of Mpumalanga.  Adaptibility is one of the exceptional traits of the Simmentaler breed.
